Hi Chris,
I used to receive notifications for anything posted on the form through my e-mail but for about 2 months now, no notifications have come through.  Any idea why?  I've checked my "blocked sender" list and there's nothing listed there.

Hmm.

Anyone else having this problem?  I'll have to turn on notifications for my account and see what happens, best I can tell everything is set correctly in your account, so that's good.

I get notifications most of the time, but not always. Many systems like this one push emails directly to a recipient's server, bypassing the use of an outgoing mail server. I don't know if this is the case with the SMF software, but if it is, then outgoing email would be dropped if the receiving mail server is busy or for some reason does not accept the message when SMF tries to post it. Some mail servers are particularly picky about accepting incoming connections. Most notably, AOL blocks a lot of mail "right at the gate" (which in many respects is a feature, not a bug).

What is baffling me is, when I first joined the forum, I had no trouble receiving notifications.  as I said in my original post, this just started a few months ago.  Go figure.  I can try contacting my internet provider to see if they have an answer.
