Regular 1 and 2

Just curious... What is the difference between regular 1 and 2?

Regular 2 is usually a reversal, or very near reversal, of Regular 1. The only time this isn't true is if the club has chosen to run Beta format in which case Regular 1&2 would be the same.

Regular 1 is the course with most of the obstacles:  dog walk, jumps, a-frame, tunnels etc.  Regular 2 is usually the reverse of Regular 1.  So they renumber the course and you walk it.

I decided to answer this because back when entered my first trial 20 years ago I remember thinking that Regular 2 was only for people who made a mistake on Regular 1. NOT SO!
