Sorry to have thought of this only *after* you've posted the form, Sharon ... but can there be teams in the pre-elite level as well?

Thanks!

No the team championships are the Elite level only.  The pre-elite teams run shorter courses in some rounds.  To be a member competing for a team champion, they must be in Elite.

So there is no longer separate team courses that each dog runs a section of, no batters up game??
I had a great team name in mind...darn it, complete with team attire...I loved batters up and the dogs did too getting to run tunnels!!

No, we stopped doing that.  It was fun, but as many noted, being an agility team champion based on whether or not you could pitch a ball, hit a ball, or catch a ball really shouldn't be the deciding factor in an agility team champion.

So our Team Champions earn that title by their runs in the regular classes at the champs.  Of their first four runs the top three scores go towards their final team score.

Lots of people were their team shirts and we hope they all wear them when we do the special team event winners on the Saturday awards between round 1 and round 2 on Saturday!

This might seem like a repeat of my earlier question...but really, it's not!

A team could be composed of vet dogs and/or vet handlers - verified earlier.

What about Double Digit dogs?  Must a team be composted of all DD dogs?
Or could a team be two veteran dog/handlers and one DD dog?

(Thinking that if DD courses are shorter, scores might be different....but maybe that can be, um, accommodated?)

TIA,
diane

I don't know about this year, but last year the DD dogs could NOT be on a mixed team for just the reason you mentioned - different/shorter courses.  My pup was on a team of ALL double digit dogs.

You are correct, Mattie.

Since the DD dogs sometimes run a shorter course, a team must be all DD dogs.
