Hi, Championships competitors!

So far, this is how the different groups will be split for this year's competition.  If more entries allow for more splits, I will update it here.  The only possible split left is Double Digit-X-small and Double Digit Small.

2016 will be a great year!!

Double Digit X-small and Double Digit Small will be combined for placements.

I'm a little new at Champs...is the split of the awards categories?
I'm assuming:
4" is Xsmall
8" is small
12" is medium
16" is large

Kathy and 16" Rigel

No, it is not based on jump height, it is based on the shoulder height of the dog.  Rigel is in the "large" dog group, which is any dog over 18" tall.

The "large" group could have dogs jumping either 16" or 20" if in Proficient and either 16" or 12" if in Skilled.  The large dog group is split into Standard division dogs and Veteran dog/Veteran Handler/Junior Handler.

I'm new to Champs, and I have a Schip who is 13.5" and jumps 8" . . . so what group would he be in?

According to the Member Section my dog (Jesse) measures 14" tall, regular jump height is 16" but he's a vet dog who jumps at 12". What group would he be in for pre-elite at Champs?

Thanks!

A 14" tall dog is a small dog.

For terminology, the groups of "X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large" are as follows:

X-Small are dogs 11" and under or dogs with height exemptions that place them in the 11" and under group.

Small are dogs over 11" and up to and including 14" in height.

Medium are dogs over 14" and up to and including 18" in height.

Large are dogs over 18" tall.
