Question About 15-month Old Dogs Entering Intro
« on: January 14, 2021, 09:31:19 AM »
The question has come up what if a dog enters Intro at 15 months.  They compete in a 3-day trial which offers 5 regular classes over the three days.  The dog gets 4 Q's during the weekend which is an Intro Agility Certificate.  Can the dog now enter Novice at the next trial (they are still 15 month old) or do they have to wait until they are 18 months old to enter Novice.  I know my answer to the question, however, I would like to get the official one.  Thanks for all the new info.

Its easiest put like this, No dog can enter Novice (or higher when thinking of grandfathering) under 18 months old. So to answer your question, no. They could get 150 points in Intro, but cannot enter novice (or higher) until 18 months.

That's what I thought and I am so glad it is that way.  Thanks, Jimmy.
