You may notice there is a new tab below points called 'Member Section'.
Please test it out.
From that page you will be able to view your info, your dogs info, and your dogs points.
You will notice that you can now update your own info. So email changes, phone number, address or maybe you just got tired of your name and would like to start going by Shakira. Either way you can do it all right there.
Now this is a test run. If you have problems or the data is incorrect or not there go ahead and let me know (nadacchris@gmail.com). Two things about it:
(1) Please don't get offended if I don't respond in a timely manner.
(2) Please don't worry if I email back and say I will be fixing the issue and it doesn't change immediately.
I am expecting to be flooded with emails once everyone sees this. So my response time may be a little longer than what I like.
And just remember, if any of your personal info is wrong, change it! The fields that you can't change are the ones that are unique and are needed in order to keep the file orderly.
If needed I can make another tutorial video on how to use it also. If you guys/gals need that just let me know and I will get it shot :)
Enjoy!

Awesome job, Chris! Well done and it looks good.

Ok for those of us dummies that have MULTIPLE email addresses and can never remember which one we used.... what data pool is the login email using? :P
-
Hi Chris, When I click opn the "Member Section" I get a log-in box, but when I click "submit" all I get is a white box with some faint (I can't read them) letteers. I'm sure it's me doing something wrong. Help! Linda

LOVE IT!!!! That is so very cool to see all my dogs listed there - sure did give me pause to Willowby and Griffey there, but in a good way!!!! Thanks Chris!!! Just getting a chance to check out the forum - you've done an amazing job!!! Thanks.

I am hopping on a plane. When I land I will get some responses sent out

GREAT WORK, CHRIS! Works great with the zip code. Thanks! Linda
-
Works great for all of my dogs. It was awesome to see my Lucy's (agility angel) points in there as well.
-
This sounds sooo awesome! Unfortunately my login isn't working. I put in my email address and zip, then click on login. The top line changes (I think it says Member information? sorry, I didn't write it down), but nothing happens.
What email are we supposed to use? I can't figure out any other reason why it doesn't work.
Thanks!
Lynda

Hey everybody,
I am short on time so I won't be able to fix these problems until tonight.
The email it wants is whatever you used when you registered. Or if you have updated it and let us know.
The most common issue right now is outdated emails.
And number two is extended zip codes. (83810-0123)
The moment I am back home I will start sending out the emails we have in our files for the folks having problems.
It would probably be better if you let me know through email (nadacchris@gmail.com) That way I can hammer through them real quick
-
Mine worked with my regular 5 digit zip code. Love this new feature!! Linda
-
Love this feature. Amazing to see my old dogs (like the 2A and 3A numbers). They are so much a part of my NADAC experience and where it all started. A neat way to look back and remember... and since I have gotten really slack lately about not tracking points because I have not really been trialling much if at all, what a surprise to see how many points my crazy novice dog has. I may have to change his name from If Only ( cuz If Only can be an agility dog like my Uncle Tang) to I Am.
-
Chris- very cool! Thanks so much for all your hard work!
First question- where do I change my email address and phone number? I did remember what the old email address was, and did get in... if I change it now, will that mess with my login?
Second- if I make those changes here, will the "office" have it as well, or do I need to email someone to get my membership records updated?
Third- my old guy Riley was a 3C675 number- he's listed but his points don't come up. Will those old-format numbers be included in this?
No rush with any of these questions, and hopefully I'm not asking what has already been asked & answered.

It won't mess anything up :) For the remainder of that session it will show the old email. But next time you go to log in it will require the new one.

It will be instant :) This database will become our new 'main' file for member info.

Eventually. We haven't uploaded the retired numbers for awhile. Mostly to conserve space and make the uploads quicker. But with our new setup it's not so much an issue. We are starting to work on converting the old points so they can be uploaded and viewed as well. It's not a high priority, but it has made a list :)

I'm in now, too. Just a little question: how do I change my description? I noticed that I'm down as a club rep but not as a trial secretary. Not high on the list of priorities but I'm curious.
Thanks!
Lynda

I would have to check with Becky.
I believe she keeps a separate file that contains the trial secretaries.
-
It's very cool being able to check points for all dogs in one place!!
Nice to see the "dogs gone by" there as well.
Thanks Chris and Sharon!! I know it's been a ton of work!

I'm bummed. :-[ I can't seem to get in. I've attempted to use each email address I have and have used both the five digit and the extended zip code. Chris, I'll send you an email...I have something else to ask you too about points.
Thanks!

This sounds cool but I can't find the Members Section in Tapatalk. I often have trouble navigating on my iPad. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or tell me that I can't find it using Tapatalk!
Thanks Kathryn

It is a separate entity from the forum.
Sort of. I can link to it in the forum, but it's just taking you to a whole new page not associated with the forum

hmm I'm listed as a club rep too in the member area (which is correct, I am both)
do you mean for here on the forum on the left under your name? you need to be in the secretary group.
go to Profile, then Modify Profile, then Group Membership and Request Membership for Trial Secretary. :D
-
My requests to join the other groups has been pending. Is that just another think on your to do list, Chris?

More like I had completely forgotten to check that tab!
You should be in now
-
Trial secretaries are not listed in that file, only the club rep as submitted by the club for the year. Some clubs have 5-6 trials a year and a different trial secretary for each one. You can find the trial secretary by checking the club's premium on their web sites. We can't track those and change our main registration file for every trial, therefore we list the club rep only in our main file.

Thanks Chris. I just got in, love it in fact I just found out what Candy's full name is. How cool is that :)

I looked in members section and Shyla shows just 160 points. She has, infact accumulated 1570 points. Am I missing something? Number is 06-10392. Thanks!

In a way ;)
The 160 is records. So there are 160 Qualifying runs recorded in our files. With each of them being worth 10 (or 5 for regular). Which would work out pretty close to your number :)
-
Regular runs are only worth 5 points? I thought Skilled runs with one fault were worth 5 points.
-
Correct.
Regular runs in skilled with 5 faults are worth 5 points. While clean runs are worth 10.

Club Reps are listed in our master file for each club. The Rep is the person we contact when we need to communicate with an individual club. Club Reps also receive group e-mails relating to club activity. Most of the time Reps remain the same for at least a year.
Trial Secretaries are listed on the Calendar of Events as they often change with each trial.
Hope that helps...

And just Regular runs? So you can't get 5 points on Tunnelers, Chances, Touch N Go, etc. when you run skilled?

Just Regular :)
The other classes are either all or nothing.
