Title: To do list
Post by: Sharon Nelson on January 01, 2013, 09:48:47 AM
Hi, group.

This is my current "to do" list starting today.  Let me know if I have left out anything!

    1.  Process courses for the upcoming week's trials.
    2.  Finish printing NATCH certificates for NADAC associates and mail them this week.  Mail the remainder of the Extended Title medals.
    3.  Bring the online seminar group up to date and remove any non-renewing members and start the 2013 training topics by Friday.
    4.  Complete the new rulebook which includes EGC and Level 3 of the Beginners Agility Program.
    5.  Publish the 2013 Championships premium and entry forms.
    6.  Announce the new changes to the Bonus run program for both weekend trials and the Championships.
    7.  Update points for all remaining December trials not yet posted.
    8.  Contact any club reps for clubs that have not submitted their renewal fees yet.

Once all of the New Year's trials has submitted their trial results, then I will calculate the Top Ten Breed and Top Ten Class results for 2012.  Remember that to be listed in the Top Ten a dog must have a minimum of 30 points at the Elite level.

Let me know if I missed anything that should be done this week!

And I will update the calendar of events tomorrow!  I forgot that one!

Wow what a list! Don't forget to breath, rest & eat!
Looking forward to the BA3 test too since we have an upcoming BA test trial.

Happy New Year to you all!

You should have added "Take a break or at least a mini-break" between each number.  You work too hard!

Hi Sharon,
Just wanted to check to see if the Canby, OR Funraiser result from the Dec. 14th - 16th (normal classes plus ECG) were among those on your list of December trials that still needed posting.
Thanks,
Tanya

Just checking on the status of December points. I'm still not seeing points from our December 7-9 trial at Family Dog Center.

Thanks.

Hi Sharon,

I'm still looking for the November Family Dog Center results.  I'm trying to wait, but seeing that you are talking about loading December results makes me wonder if the November results should be showing up by now?

Thanks,
Tonya

Thank you Sharon,

What do I need to do if mine are not showing up?  Dog is 11-09263.   The trial was Nov. 9 - Nov. 11.

Thank you Sharon,

What do I need to do if mine are not showing up?  Dog is 11-09263.   The trial was Nov. 9 - Nov. 11.

This is one of those things that arises occasionally........... your dog ran under an incorrect number.  You are listed as "11-092630" which is not a valid number.  The club should not have accepted that number, the software should not have allowed that number to even be typed in.  So they did submit results for you with that number.

The trial secretary should have realized that is was not a valid number.

The trial software should not have accepted the input of that number.

The competitors should have reported to the trial secretary that the number listed in the catalog is not a valid number and is not their dog's NADAC number.

But none of the above happened correctly, so the results are listed under that "incorrect" number instead of your number.

Good thing you checked or you would have lost those points.  Even though the trial secretary "should" have corrected it, the bottom line is that it is the responsibility of the owner to verify their results!

I will get this fixed.

Thanks you Sharon, I now know that the extra 0 at the end is bad!  I probably figured it was the way the computer printed things, but will check very closely from now on.  We need all our points~!!!! ;D

Great!  I also contacted the club to let them know that this error should have been corrected on their end also before results were submitted.  Also the trial software should not have allowed an incorrect number to be input!

Lots of results get submitted under the wrong number and people don't realize that "they" must validate their number at trials.  But we usually don't get incorrectly formatted numbers.

Glad you checked and we got this straightened out!

Sharon, do you have the results from the Canby Dec 14-16 and New Year's trials still to post?  Mine aren't showing up yet and we really want to be in the Top Ten!  (By breed, no worries for all the BC and shelties out there! :D). Almost as fun as a NATCH...until we actually get one...

SO sorry to see Canby go, but it's been great for us.  We'll see if Bend can work out for us over the mountains, I hope so.
