2013 Championships

Can someone give me generally what the qualifying criteria is to be eligible for Champs?  I know it has to do with lifetime points and points in open classes, but not specifically.  Thanks

Hi,

As long as the requirements are the same a last year, you need at least 250 lifetime points, 100 points in Regular and 20 points in all other games excluding hoopers. The qualification period started August 1, 2012 - July 31, 2013 I believe. If anything has changed I'm sure Sharon will advise. Good luck.

It's my understanding that the "at least 20 points at the open level in the current year" will be required in Hoopers for 2013. . . .

But, as you said, I'm sure Sharon will clarify - grin.

We personally hope Hoopers will continue to NOT be required, as most of the local clubs have stopped offering it.

Hoopers is not required for qualifying for Championships.

The requirements for the Regular portion of the champs will be the same as last year and the year before, other than the lack of hoopers needed.

Stakes class requirements do change and those will be posted.

All dogs that are of Veteran age must enter Veterans this year.  All Double Digits Veterans that are 11 and older must jump Skilled Veterans and take an 8" break in height, but not lower than 4"

There are very few clubs that offer hoopers here either unless it is on a Friday when I would have to take a day off of work so I am also hoping that they are not required.

At least twenty points in each game or in all games combine. Ie can  you have 10 points in tunnelers and 30 in weavers or could you have all your points in touch and go.

That is not correct.  It is 20 points in each and every class for Tunnelers, Weavers, Touch N Go, Jumpers and Chances.  It is not cummulative between them.
