Cool compost barrels! Just wondering....would it be possible to use something like a strong ribbon, or Velcro, to connect those stake tabs to each other (essentially making an X in the middle of the barrel), and using a tunnel bag inside to hold them down?diane
i mostly have outdoor trials in high wind areas, which do you think is best?regarding compost barrels, do you stake them down?thanks
Are the stake down tabs long enough to turn them to the inside edge of the barrel and stake down within the circle instead of on the outer perimeter? If the barrels are collapsible, one person could scrunch it down while another puts the stakes in the ground. I'm not sure I'd trust velcro in high winds. Just one more idea... Shirley
Sharon, this was great, thanks! For the composting barrels, rather than stake them (worried about the stakes coming up in various scenarios), would it be acceptable to put the lids on and use them upside down maybe with a tunnel bag inside for stability? I am looking forward to seeing them at trials!
