It is that time of year again to start up our Special Awards list for 2013. For those new to this, each year individuals sponsor a special award at the champs to honor or in memory of our canines or for a special person. The cost is $25 per award and the winners take home a commemorative jump bar with the award name on the bar! These were so beautiful last year and it was so great to take home a bar for winning the award, plus knowing that the award being offered meant so much to the one sponsoring it.
We will be starting up our 2013 Special Awards list now and let us know if you have an award you wish to sponsor. Some types of awards are like "Highest Scoring Australian Shepherd, In memory of Fluffy".
The awards must be able to be "quantified" ie.... it must come from scores earned...... it is very tough to give out an award such as "The Aussie with the most white on them"...... the winning results must come from the scores earned at the championships. All scores for these awards are tallied from the first six rounds of Regular, unless otherwise specified. Sometimes we get awards such as "Fastest dog in Round 6".... or "Highest cumulative Weavers scores from Pre-trial runs".... and those are okay also.
