Do DRI's over 100 still get a 5 point addition to lifetime points like they use to?

No, we stopped doing that in 2010 for the Lifetime points.

Just cause I want to make it easy on Chris, :) attached is an excel file to calculate your points from the csv file.  Download the csv points file.  Download the attachment.  Open the excel file.  It will prompt you for the csv file.  Once you have selected the csv, it will go thru the file and calculate the total points for you.  As a bonus, it shows points by year as well.

The excel file uses macros so you must have macros enabled.  If you don't, Excel should tell you how to enable them.  If you don't have excel then you will have to bug Chris or PM me your dogs number and I'll handle it.

Enjoy.

So....didn't know anything about the 5 extra points for 100+ DRIs "back when."  If there were 100+ DRIs earned during that time....are they reflected somewhere?
It sure is easier to just use Chris's directions....
Thanks.

I never even knew this existed! So do 100+ DRI runs earned prior to 2010 earn 5 extra points?

This is actually a "cross-over" of topics.  When Lisa asked about the "extra five points" for lifetime points, she was actually referring the the 5 extra lifetime points bonus for dogs that ran over 100+ for calculating "Dog of the year".... it was never actually added into the dog's lifetime points records.... it was a "once a year" calculation done for the points earned during the current year and lifetime to give those awards.

So I should have changed topics before answering the question and clarified the question and the answer!

No, they were actually never "earned"... they were used for part of the calculation for the highest scoring Proficient dog of the year and the highest scoring Skilled dog of the year and lifetime pointed dog of the year............ they were never an actual part of the dogs points records... only part of a yearly calculation, which we stopped......... since people did think that they were added into the dog's records........... which they never were........... so we stopped doing that added calculation!

Another question about lifetime points- I have an older dog that received "grandfather points" years back when jumpers/gamblers titles were changed from 20 points to 30 points.  When figuring lifetime points out for her, are these grandfathered points to be subtracted back out since they were not actually earned?  We are working toward a lifetime point goal, so this will determine whether we celebrate sooner- or later.

Wow thanks Chris!!  That sure beats adding each and every run up on a calculator, which I've been doing for years!   ;D

Yes, those are added in.  Any points that are listed in the points earned are used for lifetime points.  The "extra" points we used to add for yearly top ten totals were never shown in the dog's point accumulations..... and we don't do that anymore... it got too confusing since they didn't "show"...

But all points that do "show" on the points records are added in for lifetime points!

Good luck!

Thanks, Chris.  That was really easy, even though I don't know anything about Excel :)
