Agility in the Forest?
« on: January 15, 2014, 06:05:57 PM »
Check it out! I think this is from Finland maybe?? A version of our Barrelers but done in the forest around trees. If nothing else, they're having a great time!

Aren't they those One Mind Dog people or something like that?  Love the playing in the woods...doesn't that look like fun?

I especially like the dogs in the background waiting their turn.  Probably studying the course and wondering where the numbers are  ;D

Very cool. I do this with Mirha all the time - probably 80-90% of her agility training. Works great for training switches, tights and any form of path training you can come up with, particularly for distance. Never saw anyone actually setting it up as a competition, though. Thank you Kyle for posting it.

I am surprised that more of the dogs were not going bark, bark as they ran around the trees

Kiva & I do that a lot in the winter when it's too icy to play ball b/c under the trees the snow melts faster -  I also use it to work distance and directional skills with her - she loves it  :-*

That video showed up a couple years ago.  It is great.  On a "different" list those that were raving about how much fun it looked were also ranting about how horrible a barrel is....  People are funny creatures!!
