Elk Grove Fun-Raiser and Speed & Stakes Thanks
« on: April 28, 2014, 03:54:07 PM »
Thank you Sharon for making the trek to Elk Grove so we could experience S&S - it was a blast! For those of you who were not there, we had 8 or 9 teams with all shapes and sizes of dogs. The courses were very challenging with bonus box type distance plus a speed factor required to get a Q. These runs were not about Q'ing - there were few Q's - it was about experiencing some great teamwork with your dog and watching other teams' great runs. Can't wait until we get to do this again!

And I must single out and thank Karin Bell for her non-stop course building and scribing and making the S&S class happen.

Another first for us in Northern California - our first experience with Intro. What a great addition to the trial. This was my young dog's first foray into the ring and it was a good experience for him and helpful for me to identify what we need to focus on. A great stepping-stone into agility for new dogs and new handlers, too.

Thank you Sharon and I hope you had a safe trip home!
