I always click on the "show unread posts since last visit" below my name each time I visit the forum. After I have checked them all out, I once again click on that line--sometimes something new shows up, occasionally ones I have just read (and for which there have not been any new posts) will still show up. But when nothing new shows up, a purple banner displays which says there are no new messages...but then adds "click here to try all unread topics. And I always click on that, too, because sometimes there are several more posts that show up there that I have't seen. Don't know why, don't worry about it, just do it.
I log on usually every day and have it set up to remember me. So all I have to do is hit the nadacforum bookmark and it comes right up, no signing in or remembering my password. Read my unread posts, check to be sure I got them all, and then I'm done. It takes usually takes only a couple minutes (except when there are all the fabulous bonus line videos to watch, or training videos from the seminar list to watch or bookmark). I griped and drug my feet about switching to the forum in the beginning, too (old dog, new tricks, or old person who doesn't like change, both are apt descriptions) but now am used to it and mostly happy. I did like the option on the list of saving a message to a folder I would set up, on things like equipment building tips, health or conditioning tips, or Champs info--so I didn't have to do a search and weed through a bunch of other stuff to find the specific ones I liked or found useful. I know you can bookmark on the forum, but if there is a way to narrow that down into categories I haven't learned it yet. So that's probably the only drawback I know find with the forum. And if it makes Sharon and Team NADAC's life easier, then it's more than worth it.
