Signing Into the Forum
« on: February 17, 2016, 06:55:36 AM »
Every time I sign in on the Forum the default is to stay logged in "Forever". I have changed to a time frame of less than "Forever" both before and after I've entered my username and password but it still comes up "forever" the next time I sign in. Does anyone know of a way to make the change to less than "Forever" stick?

I have the same problem.  Chris said it had something to do with my "cookies" - but I ate the last chocolate chip one long ago, and it's still doing it.  ;-)

Wrong kind of cookies, Diane. It only works if you are eating Girl Scout cookies while changing your computer settings. I think that Thin Mints are the most effective.

Good luck, Murrelet

The default drop-down is "forever" in the box. That is typically what people want so they don't have to log in each time. So yeah, every time you log in you have to change that drop-down box if you don't want that. It is logging you out like you wanted, and so each time you log in, you have to tell it what you want again. Once your session times out, everything will reset. It's working like it should unless I'm misunderstanding your question.
