Signatures on profile

Just a note that we are now going to start cracking down on people putting a signature in your profile.

You don't have to ever sign your posts again if you just head into your profile and add a little name in there under 'signature'.

Everyone has been on here awhile now and should be able to.  If not here is a video:

If you continue to not have a signature then the community might get grumpy ;)

Chris: trying this out. I modified my member profile and previewed it. No signature show up.

I'm going to sign it and send it to see if I get a double signature.

Is it possible to just list the steps, rather than have to watch a 16 minute video? I went into profile, and didn't see anything for signature.

Or, perhaps you could tell me exactly where (timestamp) on the video that signatures is discussed. Thanks.

Move your cursor (hover) over the word "Profile" to the right of the "Home" button.

One of the three options which will appear is "Forum Profile" -- click on that.

Scroll down the page and you will find the "Signature" section to be filled in.

And then click "change profile" in the lower right hand corner of the page.

I think I have managed to add a signature. Perhaps this will be the test.  8)

Sort of a test to see if my signature worked. If not it's Randy

Hmmm, not quite sure this is what you want.

You want to go to PROFILES, then hit ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then hit USERNAME.  Change your user name to your full name.  That will show up above any posts to the list and you never have to sign your posts again.

Eeek!  Differences between reading messages directly from the Forum vs the Tapatalk app.  In Tapatalk, only the user name shows up, not signatures.  But, viewed through the Forum, the signature shows up. So, for those of us who always use Tapatalk, it is helpful if your username is your full name.  Clear as mud? ::)

If our user name is our real name, should we also have our name in our signature?

Nah.  The biggest complaint I hear from people is that when they use the phone app, it doesn't show the signatures, only the user name.  So that's when people get confused about who's talking :)
