Bristlecone's Sierra Fortune, 1/6/2000-8/3/2015
« on: August 18, 2015, 06:55:12 PM »
We are writing to let Fortune’s agility friends know that he died on August 3, 2015, after a brief illness.  He was 15 ˝ years old—a good age for a big Aussie with Addison’s Disease.

Fortune greatly enjoyed his agility life: Travelling to new smells, meeting friends both canine and human, earning treats, offering constructive comments on handling errors as needed.  His last run was in November 2014, when he completed his Intro Tunnelers title.  He was a big presence in our lives from the moment we met him and we miss him and Vega very much.

Pats to all your furry friends—even the old ones don’t live long enough.

Carolynne and Sydney.........

I am so sorry to hear about Fortune.......I hope that Vega greeted him with a wagging butt.  I remember Fortune from all the times in Idaho and MT trials that I was able to see him.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest.  Hold fast to all those memories of the adventures you shared.....may they help ease the pain in the days ahead.  Run Fortune, Run!

Carolynne & Sydney, I am so sorry for your loss.  15 /12 is a good age but still, never long enough.

So sad to hear this, but we hope that Fortune has found his favorite girl - Panda - waiting for him.

Hugs to you both (and Happy, too)

So sad to hear the news.  And to loose two great dogs in such a short period of time.  Fortune was one of the original dogs that I got to know when I started agility back in 2003.  He will have a great reception at the rainbow bridge with all of the other dogs that have gone before him.

Hugs from me and the Blue Dogs!

Thank you to all of you who sent us a message about Fortune and Vega.  It means a lot to us to know that others have fond memories of them as well.
Warm wishes,

Carolynne and Sydney,  I am so sorry for your loss of both Vega and Fortune's.  I have so many wonderful memories of our times together in Idaho.  All of you added many positive times in my life.  Such wonderful dog owners and such lucky dogs to have shared their lives with you.
