How does a dog get on the top 10 list?  I have a wheaten terrier that has points in all the classes.  There is one wheaten listed on the top 10 for 2016 which is not me.  What to know why I don't qualify for this.

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but one of the stipulations is that a dog has to have 30 points (Elite points) to make the list.  If your dog does have 30 points, then go to the nadac.com site and hit the support button and ask about it.  I remember last year that there were several corrections after the original post came out.  Chris is infallible, but technology is not ..  lol

Hi, Linda.  It consists of dogs that have earned at least 30 points in a class in the calendar year of 2016.  And in addition, only the top 10, including ties, are listed.

I was looking at the NADAC Awards explanation posted to NADAC.Com and noticed at the bottom of the article, where the abbreviations for various titles was listed, that the NATCH, Versatility NATCH and All Round NATCH were not listed.  OK, NATCH is NATCH, but how are Versatility NATCH and All Round NATCH abbreviated?  Or are these considered awards, not titles?  Thanks.

Re: Top 10 by Breed - For all previous years, my smooth collie Katydid has been ranked with all collies, both rough and smooth.  But for the 2016 Top 10, my young smooth collie, Roxanne, is listed separately in Smooth Collie, while Katydid is still listed with all collies.  Is it possible to include Roxanne with all collies, as is-and-was done for my other smooth collie Katydid?

Just a curious question.   I've been reading through some pretty old Clean Run magazines and I noticed a couple of dogs with titles listed.  Some of them are O-NATCH and O-V-NATCH.  What are those titles?

At one time the first NATCH was a NATCH, the second was an Outstanding NATCH or O-NATCH, and the third was a Superior NATCH or a S-NATCH.  For obvious reasons they were changed to just NATCH, NATCH 2, NATCH 3, and so on.

That was back when there were few trials and it took years to earn a NATCH.  Now with 400+ trials a year, earning a NATCH or even NATCH-10 or 20 or 30 is only dependent upon how many trials you want to go to, if you have a NATCH earning dog.  Back in the olden days, even if you could afford to trial every weekend, the trials were not available for you to do so.
