We are doing some X Hoopers runs at a VT this weekend. Never tried it before. Do I start in Novice?
I do have Elite Hoopers Title.

Hi, Harry. Chris posted in another thread when the change was made or shortly after that since the points were combining and you're in Elite Hoopers, he didn't want the points to be wasted. So the fix was to allow a dog to enter in the highest level they are eligible for in either hoopers.

While you CAN run in Elite, if you feel uncomfortable with doing that the first time, you certainly CAN also enter Open OR Novice, if you think you and/or your dog need to feel it out first. Up to you!

Looks like I wasted the points. We entered novice. Stan was a little unsure on the first run with the fences. But on the second run he had no problems. I think I made the correct choice.
I don't want to upset the Stan. And my only criteria for agility is that I require him to have fun every time we take off.
So when they bring back the fences in a decade or so, we will be ready.
Thanks all for your answers.

With the new hoppers, what kind of times will there be? Same as X-hoppers?

For now the times will stay the same as xhoopers. Sometime in the next 6 months we may review times for a new format we're going to do. More on that later
