Chris so my 10 year old GSD is a 20" dog measures 23 and jumps 12 in Beterans skilled, . I had her form done today at trial so I still send it to you?
Pat
If you have it you can definitely send it!
But for anyone in the future who has dogs obviously over 20" you're all good without the form.
The intent of the form, for anyone reading this in the future is this.
The scoring for Championships is based off your dogs shoulder height, not the height they jump. This way we don't have a 11.5" terrier competing against a 22" border collie. Which could happen if we strictly did it by jumping height.
So the form is needed because if you enter your dog and say he's 17" you will be scored with other dogs who are in that height group.
But if in reality your dog is 18" that would change your grouping.
A lot of folks these days don't have an accurate measure on their dogs because they run skilled, which is GREAT!
But for Champs we still need that accurate measurement so Sporty the border collie isn't competing against Speedy the terrier.
