For those of us who have bean bags, would those be okay?   They are used for indoor trials.

I am not sure as it really depends on the style.  The small bean bags can be pretty rough to see on video.

Please, please, please can we have Barrelers VT runs!  I'd be glad to test this as well.
Linda

In the past, another reason that Barrelers was not allowed on VT, along with difficulty to judge on video, was we kept one class that people HAD to support local trials in order to get the All Around NATCH titles.  People had to enter and support trials for at least one class!!

I agree Sharon.  The only downside is that when you trial in an area where you only see 1 or 2 barrelers every couple of months - if that - then it just pushes the All Around NATCH down the road a ways.  But that's OK - we'll get it when we get it - or not.

Marcy,
Let your clubs know you want Barrelers and then chant, "We want barrelers, we want barrelers..."

If clubs don't hear from their exhibitors as to what they won't, then they can't accommodate them.

Oh you know me Becky.  I'm shy and reticent and hesitant about expressing my opinion ...  ;D ;D  You just know about how people react to something "new".  But I WILL keep quietly prodding clubs to add at least one barrelers - "just for fun" - and if they do people will see how much fun it is and then maybe the clubs will start offering it more.

Barrelers is indeed a fun class and some dogs/handlers take to it really well.

I fill out the entries classes for Belle, my sister's beagle. Last year I only put her in a few times in Intro but she Qed twice.

This year in April was at games trial with no Intro, so Belle was entered Novice Barrelers and she Q both runs.
Since then just entered Novice since she had proved herself there.

She has Qed in Barrelers, I believe every Novice run this year, she just got O-BR-N this weekend.

Both Belle and my sister like the class and obviously they are good at it.

The title Q run is at following link if you want to see a recent Novice Barrelers course in action.

What's the maximum number of barrels needed for barrelers class? 3?

Trying to generat equipment list for trials to help club budget for purchases.
