Tunnel Specifications
« on: December 04, 2017, 07:37:53 AM »
I am getting ready to purchase a couple of tunnels and as an agility newbie, I had a question about the specs.  I understand the rules list 4" pitch as a requirement on both length tunnels but can you tell me why?  Is it a safety thing? Just curious because the 6" pitch tunnels are so much lighter.

Yes it is a safety issue. Tunnels with a 6' pitch have a tendency to come to a "point" when they are set to have a "curve".

Also as they age, the entrance/exit tends to collapse back toward the tunnel no matter how good you bag them.  But for backyard use the 6” pitch are definitely lighter weight.
