Looking for polypropylene mats for trials
« on: February 08, 2018, 02:53:36 PM »
I bought a mat when I started doing agility and obedience.  I started with a nice blue one and then ran across a cool purple one.  That was a very long time ago.  I think I picked them up at big shows (conformation, obedience, agility).  The agility trials I now attend don't really have enough competitors for vendors to bring the 6x9 or 9x12 mats.  I looked a bit online but when the cost of shipping equals the cost of the mat ...

And I tossed the old ones because the blue and purple were flaking off like crazy.  Any on-line vendors you would like to suggest??

I have seen them even at places like Walmart in their camping section.  And online places like CampingWorld.  And if you have Amazon Prime (or know someone who does), you can get one with free shipping.

Also, try Ace Hardware.  They might only have them closer to summer (think "beach mat"), and they aren't huge (I think maybe 10'x10'?), and they don't last forever.
BUT they're usually pretty inexpensive - like $15 last time I got them.
You can usually order online and have it shipped free to a local store, if you have one.

Try Home Depot, Lowes or Harbor Freight Salvage.
