Hi there!!

I can not find a media section and I was hoping to build some hoops and am looking for the specs.

Thanks!

I do believe the specs are in the Exhibitor's handbook at NADAC.com   under rules.     Attached is a picture of the hoops with the dimensions.  The hoop attachment is shown with 3/4" pvc, and most clubs use 1" for trial hoops. But for back yard, 3/4" is just fine.

If you plan on setting up Hoopers courses, you might want to use the 1" pvc.  The 3/4" pvc can disappear on a camera screen.  I sometimes have to set out an umbrella or a chair with a bright shirt or jacket to get enough pixels to be sure I will capture all the obstacles!

NADAC specifications indicate hoops should be constructed of 3/4" PVC pipe.  Total height should be 36" and width should be 34 to 36".  Uprights should be 16" tall with 12" legs.  I hope that helps.  😊

One thing that I found is that the 4 way joints are hard to find.  I found you could use 2 X 3 ways instead and use a small scrap piece of PVC to connect them.  It works like a charm!

Clean Run sells the 4-ways, in 2 sizes. These are not a plumbing item, but a furniture item, which is why you won't find them at most hardware stores.

I got 1" 4-ways from Home Depot.  You have to order them on line and then pick them up at your local store.  Free shipping on "site to store".

Amazon was carrying them.  They're used more for PVC furniture than plumbing.

Yes, but they are costly.  The 3 ways are much less expensive.  I can get a 10 pac of 3/4" for $3.18 and a 10 pack of 1" for $6.69.  Clean Run 4 way is $2.75 each plus shipping.
