Course Design Resources
« on: February 01, 2019, 08:10:22 AM »
Hi there -

I am very excited about judges designing their own courses in 2020. I have really missed the different 'styles' from back in the day.

One thought or request I had is perhaps for NADAC to offer some course design resources for exhibitors. I for one would like to learn more about course design (from using Course Designer, to NADAC philosophy).  I think this would be great for perhaps building a pipeline for potential future judges, as well the opportunity for exhibitors to submit courses to NADAC. We have many talented folks out there and I know that I often set something at my facility and after using it and tweaking it, think "hey, this would be a fun course."

That's actually something we have been wanting to do for awhile now!

We have the outline for about a 7 part video series about course design, but the time has just never been there to get it recorded and edited.
Hopefully soon!

+1 for this idea!

In addition to the video series, maybe you could occasionally choose a particularly well-designed course and write a blog post about what makes it good (from a NADAC standpoint).

That's great news.  I'd like to know more about course design also.
