NADAC Premium Template
« on: January 01, 2019, 11:01:21 AM »
I was hoping that the new premium template would somehow accommodate swap runs.

However, I have added two check marks to the entry form in my NADAC premium template in order to allow handlers to alert me to their desire to swap a run on a swap day. See attached.

I would like to know from Chris or Amanda if this change will be allowed.

Thanks!

What if the exhibitor wants to swap a Chances run for a Jumpers run?

Thanks Marj! I forgot about swapping Chances for Jumpers or Jumpers for Chances. What about this example?

Maybe it’s just me, but the wording seems a bit ambiguous. Does “Swap Jumpers for Chances” mean “I want to do Jumpers instead of Chances” or “Instead of Jumpers I want to do Chances”?  Perhaps using “instead of” rather than “for” would be clearer. Or even simpler, just include a second checkbox in the main entry form with the second box labeled “Swap” instead of “Rd 2”.

For Swap Format, I came up with this instead...Since you can swap any of the Jumping Classes...  I thought this made more sense...

Karin, I like yours.  I did the attached, but it seems to be confusing some people.

That's the best I've seen Karin! People get confused about "swap" but "pick 4 (max) of 6" seems to be clear. Thanks for the example!

The only question I have - can someone pick two Jumpers and two Chances, and give up both Regular runs?  I thought you could only pick one "swap" run, either Jumpers or Chances, but not both.

We have been offering a swap between all the Jumping classes for some time now...

We almost never have 3 full day trials in Texas, but this question sent me to the Trial Secretaries Handbook (2017) where it does say at least one run must be Regular.  But maybe that has changed?
