New Awards with Novice/open chances
« on: January 02, 2019, 08:53:55 PM »
Did these new awards go into effect yet? Do they have names and requirements? I didn't see them in the Awards PDF document.

Thanks,
Kelly

It should be updated now.

They won’t start showing up until the next point update on the 15th

Not that I'll ever get there.  But the new Achievement Cups (lower level Chances requirements) are on the new Awards List pdf.  But the "old" Achievement Cups (renamed to ?)  don't appear to be there.  Is that still to come?

Thanks, Chris! I will check again! Been talking to people about those and they are generating a lot of interest, so I wanted to make sure I had the right details to share.

Ok - spoke too soon... where did you update them, Chris? I'm looking at this document - but I don't see them. What document should I be looking at? https://www.nadac.com/WPsite/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/NADACAwards.pdf

Thanks,

Try the link below.  Achievement Cup info is right below the Purple Mod Squad listing.  This came from the new website.  I went to the Titles and Awards tab, then clicked on the Titles & Awards List link...

The gold versatility achievement cup requires 20 purple runs? Or a leftover line from something else? Even vers-natch doesn't ask for purple runs.

That is leftover from something else, we will get it updated next week!

Since you'll be in there anyway - an additional clarification may ward off future questions - Under the new cups, I find this verbage:
Quote
Silver Versatility Achievement Cup:
The Silver Achievement Cup has the same requirements as a normal
Silver Achievement cup with the addition of needing:
130 Points in Touch n Go
130 Points in Tunnelers
130 Points in Weavers.

which should probably be:

Silver Achievement cup with the addition of needing:
130 Points in Touch n Go In level???
130 Points in Tunnelers In level???
130 Points in Weavers In level???.

What are the old bonus achievement cups going to be replaced with?  I don't see anything in the new document.

I have been working towards achieving these awards with my dogs and am getting close :)   So need to know if anything changed with the requirements and what it will be called.

Thanks!

Thanks Chris! Been having some great conversations about these new awards with some former NADAC folks. I'm excited about how excited they are!  Not sure that it will be enough to bring them back, but it's at least opening possible doors.

I have read the qualifications on the new Achievement Cups several times and am wondering if there is a typo.  It states that in addition to the Elite Points in Regular and Jumpers, only 130 Points in Novice Chances is required.  That seems kind of low as it is only 30 more than what is required to get Novice Superior Chances.  Is 130 points correct or should it be 230 points?

My opinion doesn't really matter, but it seems logical to me since it's 130 elite chances to get your NATCH points. So 130 across the board seems like it's easy to remember & understand.
