I too would be sad to see Hoopers go away entirely.
When you ran Gamblers at the events last year, did people have trouble getting enough points?
I haven't done the math myself, but I've heard from two people that they think, based on the description that you presented last week, that getting enough points by doing obstacles would be hard if you had a not-so-fast dog, and so the event would favor the faster dogs because they'd get all those under time points.

No it really wasn't a big issue, if people planned their runs based on their dogs ability.
Folks who tried to get too many obstacles, and went over time get penalized for it.
Folks with slower dogs who got as many obstacles as possible, while staying under SCT, they got rewarded.
It had around a 60% q rate, which for a new class that people haven't completely figured out yet, was pretty high.
And the good news is that the numbers will be very adjustable in the first 6 months of the class being around. If the Q rate is too low we'll drop the points needed, if it's too high then we'll raise it
