It's time + faults scoring, + a possible bonus. So even when the results for regionals scoring aren't posted - you can pretty much know how things are going based on the scores that get posted from the regular trial. What you won't be able to tell is the groups competing against each other. Where I was, lots of groups had only one dog - more groups in regionals than in the score book for the regular trial scores (that's an observation - not a judgement by the way). I did see scores out after the second round each day. Maybe they were out sooner than that, but I wasn't looking more often than that.
