I see that the latest hotel information (January 11, 2019) identifies one dog-friendly hotel - Courtyard Marriott Springfield Downtown.

Have you contacted Red Roof Inn? (Kids & pets stay free)

Quality Inn is also pet friendly.

Found these on the Champions Center web-site.

I've stayed at both the Quality Inn and the Courtyard for CPE Nationals in previous years.

The Quality Inn is pretty basic and kind of run down (and this was a number of years ago). There is no elevator and bringing things up and down the stairs got pretty old pretty fast. The rooms did not have refrigerators standard in them and I only got one because I saw one coming out of another room and claimed it. I stayed there the first year that CPE Nationals were is Springfield because they were considered the "host hotel." I haven't been back.

The Courtyard is a very nice hotel. I've stayed there the past two times and have been happy both times. The staff is amazing - they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. However, it is a 5 story hotel and they have two (small) elevators. The staircase is not accessible from the interior of the hotel and there is no access from the exterior. It's not a deal-breaker for most people, but if you have a dog with "issues," this might be a consideration. When we were there last June, they mentioned that they were due to start a refurb of the rooms in November, but it doesn't appear that it happened.

I know that a LOT of CPE people stayed at the Red Roof and I didn't hear anything negative about them. Right now I have rooms booked at both the Courtyard and the Red Roof as I couldn't get a room with two beds at the Courtyard (right now I have one with a bed and a sofa bed). There are more food places immediately near the Red Roof than the Courtyard (although it is only a short distance to food from the Courtyard).

I hope that helps people! If you need more specific information, please let me know. With CPE Nationals having been in the area so frequently, I'm sure that I can find someone who knows the answer to just about any question.

The website for last year's CPE nationals is still working. They have an extensive list of hotels there, though the prices listed are not going to be correct as they are from a year ago.

I think I have a room reserved there but I am doing an Air BnB so I might be able to transfer it to you.  I am sure there are others who also have reservations that are probably going to cancel them as well.

Red Roof website says it only allows one dog - "One well-behaved family pet per room is welcome at Red Roof Inn Springfield, OH." If the Courtyard block is already gone, seems like if you haven't already booked a room, then it may be tough to find somewhere to stay with 2-3 dogs.

There are lots of hotels within 30 minutes of the site, sadly we were only able to get that limited selection for the block.

I would also call Red Roof Inn,   I know a LOT of people who have stayed there with more than one dog.

Thanks for sharing your hotel information, it was very helpful.

As anyone tried out the Baymont Inn & Suites in Springfield?

It's a little less expensive then the Red Roof.

Any word on how good the Motel 6 in Columbus is?  Not looking for a great hotel - just clean and safe.

I have a couple of hotel reservations that I am not going to use.  I have one at the Marriott that goes from Monday to Monday.   that is a king bed.  Then I have 2 at the Baymont, same time frame one is 2 double beds and 1 is a King bed.  I am going to cancel them, but is someone is looking for a hotel let me know and I can see if we can transfer them.  I know the block of rooms at the Marriott is gone, and that is the host hotel.

Hi Audri,

I would love your room at the Marriott. I did PM you about it. Please PM me back to figure it out.

Many thanks,
Kyle
