Thanks Betty for starting this thread!  I posted these comments a few days ago on Facebook but know not everyone is on FB so will cut and pasted them again here.

Just wanted to share a few more thoughts about this year's NADAC Championships before we get too far away from it. SO many things went RIGHT this year! Some of my personal favorites:
- Thank you for creating the X-Large division (over 22") for those with bigger dogs to give them their own chance to shine in the spotlight.
- Pacing and timing were excellent. You really kept things moving. Running Stakes dogs first in each round maybe wasn't easiest for them, but meant no delays to put down lines.
- I liked all of the courses -- interesting, varied, had some challenges (for me anyway!) but do-able. Made a bunch of handlers and dogs look fabulous!
- The announcers and PA system were GREAT! So nice to be able to hear all over the grounds and keep tabs on where we were in the running order. Sam, Scott and Jeannie all have easy to understand voices and say such nice things about handlers and their dogs!
- Great to have information easily available online (if your website wasn't getting slammed too hard! 😀 )
- Appreciated your upfront transparency about issues. If something was NOT working you explained it and whether it could be solved this year, or put on the list to solve for future events.
- Great to add the Challenger round so people had one more chance to play with their dogs, and shine once more. Some folks were SO close to making the finals ......
- Four Legged Flix did a great job! Love having excellent video available.
- Loved the location, ability to spread out camping and walk dogs all over the place. Off-leash dogs could play without interfering with others.
- Food concession onsite was great.

Thanks Chris Nelson and all of your crew for hosting an amazing party where we could all come and celebrate our awesome dogs with a great group of friends who are all as crazy as we are! Well done!!

Betty and Jean have done a great job stating many of the wonderful things about this year's Championships. Chris, Cynthia, Amanda, Jimmy, Marge, Jeannie and so many others put on an amazing agility event for us all to enjoy - for that, we thank you!! To those up on the second floor pounding away at all the scoring - we thank you!! To our judges, from *before* sun up to *after* sun down each day - great job - many, many thanks!

Chris had our schedule timed out just about perfect. I kept figuring there'd be a monkey wrench thrown into the system but, no! Surprise surprise it all worked out very well! Congrats, Chris!  ;D

I really liked running Stakes first. When walking the courses instead of having to picture where our lines were from a map, the lines were already down and ready for us to run. I understand the reason to run Stakes first was the difficulty in the scoring but, I think it was helpful for the next class of dogs to get ready too. Just a smart run order and I loved it.  :)

To all my fellow Stakes competitors - YOU ALL ROCKED! There couldn't have been a nicer bunch of folks to play with. Supportive, friendly and all around fun people. I really hope that all of us can meet and play again next year in Gillette!

While everyone has pretty much covered it, I want to be sure that NADAC leadership gets as much positive feedback as they deserve.

I can easily say that this was the best Championships experience I have had (my 5th) BUT when Billie Rosen says it was her best Champs experience, then you KNOW it was exceptional.  I think she's been to them all!

The courses were challenging and reasonable in length.  I loved that the Elite and Pre-Elite courses were identical or nearly identical.

The site was fantastic!  I can't come up with a single thing that could have been better.  the stalls were clean and level, the arena running surface was great, the bathrooms were clean and adequate in size, the PA system was clear and could be heard no matter where you were, parking was outstanding and ridiculously convenient and there we SO many areas to walk and exercises our dogs!

Starting each morning with a live performance of both National Anthems was spectacular!  Thanks William!

Communication from the NADAC leadership was outstanding and even with the glitches things ran SO smoothly. You were professional, honest and encouraging from beginning to end.  AMAZING job!

4 Legged Flix and Great Dane did an outstanding job!  Live feed was enjoyed and appreciated by everyone who was able to watch and the quality was incredible.

The hotels were nice, clean and close...at least mine was (Red Roof) and had restaurants within walking distance.

Thank you to the announcers Sam and Scott.  I can't even imagine staying focused enough to talk ALL DAY LONG about other people and their dogs and still be able to run your own dogs.

AND Thank you SO, SO much to the judges who worked LONG hours with few breaks and gave up the opportunity to run their own dogs, so that we could run ours!

I am so excited for 2021 and I do hope that Springfield, OH will be the place!

Thank you again.

I only watched via video, but I do think that this year's champs looked to be the smoothest and most organized and well run yet!  Everything was always on time and the exhibitors all seemed to be having a good time without any stress!   Dogs were on the line for the nice variety of courses and it seemed to be an awesome event!  Congrats to everyone!

I have to say I agree with all of the above.  The NADAC crew did it again!  This event went so smooth and was lots of fun.  I really loved the venue and hope they go back there in 2021!  The ability to spread out the camping was fantastic.  And the weather!  I don't know how you pulled that off, but wow!   :)

I'd like to also say a special thanks to the side run judges.  I appreciated having the opportunity to warm up my dogs.  You were very kind and patient making sure people got their chance to run and be at the main event on time.  You should know that your efforts were appreciated every much as everyone else!

I hope to see everyone again in 2021 or before!

I can not thank NADAC enough for all your hard work and just an amazing display of fairness, dedication and FUN!!!  This was my first NADAC Champs (my first agility ANYTHING really) and I am so impressed with all you did to make us feel special, keep the courses challenging, and to give all of us a great time.  I am no stranger to large events and World Champion level competition.  We have attended numerous Disc Dog World Champion events and Dock Diving World Championships as well, and I have to say that NADAC has by far exceeded all my expectations. Thank you so much for your hard work. Thank you for your positive attitudes throughout the week.  Thank you for your tireless hours. Thank you for keeping us informed and updated and thank you for keeping things fair and fun.  You truly are a class act!!!  And the beautiful ribbons and all the gifts and swag we received. Champs is the best event I have attended and I can't WAIT til it returns to the East again.  My boy and I will BE THERE!!!

ALL of the above comments!!  My dog's speed is good enough to get us to CHAMPS.  If I am honest, we are there for finals placement fodder!!  I just love to go; and with careful calculation, I had an "in the ring" seat for the stakes runs as bar setter #3.  WOW!

All of you did great!

And Walker has qualified for next year with the pre-champs and the Qs for the rounds.  Yee-Haw!  See you next year!

As a spectator and support crew member to Belle and a handler of Tres who Eliminated his way thru the Pre-trial and side runs, I want to echo that the Springfield location was great and NADAC did a great job with this event.

Every morning of Champs I ate breakfast at the food concession, it was a great way to start my day with a breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito or a breakfast platter. All were good. I couldn't believe the size of the Texas "pork" tenderloin when I tried that one day for lunch.

As a pop up trailer camper without a bathroom, a walkable distance to flush toilets and warm hot showers was so much nicer than the porta johns of Sunbury.

When I watched LeeAnn unpack her swag bag I was blown away, a nice cooler for future trials, personalized mini jump bar, personalized magnet, snacks and so much more.

I went back and forth on whether I should sponsor my normal Beagle bar knowing it was going to go to Belle but it normally only applies to one Beagle every year, so when LeeAnn received it, I was impressed with it and it had my name and "in honor of Dino" applied to it. So nicely made and brought a tear to my eye remembering the beagle that led me to NADAC.

A special big THANKS to the judges and crew that manned the side runs out at the pavilion. They were out there all day in the cool Ohio weather judging all dogs, setting all the bars and building all the courses mostly on their own. Although Tres was a zoomie fool for those side runs, he always came back to me and got leashed up and certainly had fun.

Stop reading here if you only want positive.

On Thursday I was a bar setter in Pre-Elite, I enjoyed the morning session. When I showed up to do the afternoon session as I entered the ring a woman asked to talk to the bar setters and told us that we should be sure to set the bars so the writing was good for photographers, and I respond curtly "I'm not worrying about that" and went out to my seat. As I sat down I realized in the morning that the bars had no writing on them. I was half way through the afternoon session when I realized the bar did have NADAC Champs 2019 on it. BUT is was green on purple and you couldn't see it from a few feet away. In the future I highly suggest going back to bars like in Sunbury where it was a white bar with black NADAC Champs 2017 on it. In Belle's 2019 photos I can't see the writing, green on purple does not show up!

The Pre-Trial at Springfield was not as pleasant an experience as in Sunbury. Chris had told all to prioritize the Gamblers and Chances run in regards to conflict but then this made the Touch and Go ring a weird show up and run. The run order was not followed, dogs were lined up at times 10 dogs deep. The TnG should have been run in order and if you missed your run perhaps the order should have then had some empty blocks to write in your dog or those dogs should have come back after all dogs in run order had run. For those handlers with dogs that did not want to wait 10 deep it was extremely hard to estimate when you should show up to run your dog based on an order that was not followed.

FWIW, I asked the photographer if they could even read the text on the bars in their images, and she said they could not, so I didn't stress about placement after that.  If the text had been legible, however, the photographers typically only shoot close-ups of one or maybe two pre-determined jumps per course, so only those jumps would need to be set properly.
