How many stalls are available?  Will there be enough for those that don't have an RV to crate our dogs in?  The research I have found is the weather is in the 50's to 70's.

Stalls:

There is no "indoor" crating like in Gillette.... there is great parking for people's vehicles if you want to crate in your vehicle.  RV parking is very close if people keep their dogs in their RVs.  There are LOTS of 10x10 stalls, solid on three sides, rubber matted floors, roof over the top of the building, no sides on the building.

Weather:

It could be in the 70's during the day (not as likely as 60's).... early morning it could be high 30's to low 40's.  The "extremes" would be 70+ during the day and 20's during the night!!

The main arena is heated for when you are in the buillding.  The dogs are not allowed in the bleachers and cannot be crated in the building except for when a vendor has a dog with them while they work their vendor booth.  Dogs in any vendor booths must be quiet or they willl need to leave the vending area.  The vendor area and spectator/bleacher area is "raised" above the arena so you look down into the arena.

Can you describe what kind of surface we can expect in the arena?  We went to the fund raiser site at Canby, OR sveral times, so can you compare that site with the Champ site? Hopefully, it is a bit less deeper than that.

Suppose you're a handler with a bad knee that's acting up, and you're staying on the grounds in an RV . . . would you want to reserve a stall as well? Or would you do just as well to crate out of the RV?

So if I understand this correctly, we will be running in the main building?

OK, so how do we ask for a stall and will it cost anything? Will the stall be big enough for 3 people and 4 dogs, 3 of which are small? How close are the stalls to the main arena as I am running 2 dogs at the same jump height? A lot of questions but I have never had to do a stall before-this will be an adventure for sure !!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I will have to think about decorations for my stall ???

Are the stalls secured from the public or are they open to the public?  How far are the stalls from the arena where we will be competing?
Thank you for your patience this is my first Champs.

the distance from an RV to the arena or a stall to the arena is about the same... they are on different sides but both quite close!

To see the site click on the this link:

In the search box type:
Salt Lake County Equestrian Park and Event Center South Jordan Utah

Click on the search button (looks like a magnifying glass)

On the left side there should be a list, click on the first one.

On the right side is either a Map or Satellite icon, click if it says Satellite.

Click on the + to zoom in, use the mouse to center the picture by dragging.

See attched file for the view you should be able to get.  You can actually zoom in even more. :)

I was wondering about the possibility of tent camping at the site.  Is this an option?  Would there be showers available?  Just trying to find some information out about the site.

Thanks.......

There is no tent camping at the site.  There are RV parks that have been posted that have tent camping.

I know that there is the option to crate out of ones car.  Do you know at this time which end of the arena will be the entrance for the ring?  And what is it like to get around once you are in the building?  Sorry for the questions, but trying to make up my mind.
