New checking points page csv?
« on: April 19, 2012, 07:31:33 PM »
Sorry, I couldn't seem to reply on the topic (maybe cause it is a sticky???)

With the new points history look up page, will you be able to have the export to csv file like the old setup had?

That is something I missed.

Let me see if I can code it real quick.  If I can't then it might be a couple days.

But yes it will have it...Hopefully soon

Hey Chris, found something else in our points.  For both Kaiser (09-01183) and Secret (11-01083) I see that their last TNG points, earned on 3/2/12, were both counted as their first -- In other words, the point count prior to that score was running properly, but then it started over (20,30,40,50,10).  That particular score was off for both of them and there were no other errors.

Just wanted to share in case it's a common glitch which needs to be addressed.

Yup it was a goof on my part in the upload process.

I am going to start re uploading everything tonight.   So by tomorrow morning all the duplicate/triplicate records will be gone :)

Finally had time to get the code worked out by some handy friends in CA.

Should be able to have the .CSV export option by tomorrow afternoon

And how to do it??  http://nadacforum.com/Smileys/default/huh.gif

Hi Shirley,

.csv is a common format for spreadsheets. When you click export to csv, your points should open up in Excel or whatever you use for a spreadsheet. Then you can save it and sort it however you want.

Thank you!!!  I figured it was some sort of  spread sheet, but I'm more Mac than PC.  But I do have Excel, so that should work great!

Comma separated values.

Which is fancy talk for a sheet where the info is separated with a comma :)    Makes it easy to view in Excel or the Mac equivalent.  Which I think is Sheets?

I just checked points for both boys, and just for the heck of it, clicked on export to csv.  It went right to an Excel spread sheet, and now it's on my desk top!!!!  Sweet!  Easy as pie!!!
Now how do I get one of these smiley faces I'm looking at above the message box to transfer to the message.  All I seem to get is words and letters.   http://nadacforum.com/Smileys/default/huh.gif
Like what you see here.

If you click on the smiley face it should automatically insert it.  Like so  :-X

In the message box it will show as just some letters and characters, but it should come through correctly when you hit post.  If not I am not 100% sure
