Amanda, these guidelines look great.  As a physician I think they are well thought out.  Specifically I agree with masks being recommended but not required.  One suggestion I might recommend for consideration is allowing refunds if handlers are not feeling well.  We want people to be smart and avoid potential exposure to others if they might be coming down with covid.  It is hard enough to give up on the fun of being at a trial but when you add a financial hit to that, some people may be hesitant to stay home when they really should.  Just an idea...  Cheryl

Can a club can make their own requirements in addition to these requirements?

Thanks,

Jumping Chollas has done this a couple of times when kennel cough was present in the agility community here.  We told people if they had any dog that might have KC or have been exposed, we would give them a full refund for all of their dogs entered.  It worked really well.  It is well worth doing.

Absolutely!

Anyone can add on as much as they want or need.

This is something we've been talking about.

From a personal opinion.  I do think that clubs should be offering as much of a refund as they can afford during this time.  Obviously the clubs still need to pay for expenses they can't recoup, but I think the majority should be given back when possible.

I'm just a little hesitant about making a venue wide rule about it, since clubs get a little touchy when you start messing with what they do with their money :/

I agree...I would just try to encourage anyone who doesn't feel well not to come.  Maybe deferral to next trial as an option.  I just don't want a nadac trial making the news as a source of a cluster from a superspreader...
