All Around NATCH
« on: May 27, 2020, 12:54:00 PM »
I know there has been discussion about this, but I can't find the latest decision.
This is what is listed on the  "Big Long List of NADAC Awards..." (July 2019)  "All Around NATCH:  The All Around NATCH has the same requirements as a Versatility NATCH with the addition of needing:130 Points in Hoopers130 Points in Barrelers".  There is no mention of Gamblers.
I have 3 questions:
1.  Is an All Around NATCH attainable with 130 Gamblers points?
2.  If a dog has already earned an AA NATCH using the Barrelers/Hoopers option, would an addition AA NATCH using Gamblers be AA NATCH 2?
3.  Or if a dog earns an AA NATCH using Gamblers and then earns enough points in Barrelers and Hoopers, would that be AA NATCH 2?
Since Gamblers has not been an option through the VT program, I've been doing more Hoopers and Barrelers working toward an AA NATCH.
Thanks for the information.

Shortest way to answer this is you got it, yes

I too am doing hoopers and barrelers for the All Around. My old dog is now deaf and is beginning to show some cataracts. I'll be retiring hi this year, so gamblers hasn't been a real option for him. It will be fortunately for one of my younger dogs!

The bottom line is,  Each AA NATCH can be earned with either 130 H/B points or 130 Gamblers.

If you earned your AA NATCH with 130 Gamblers points and later earn 130 Hoopers and 130 Barrelers, you could use those H/B points to earn your AA NATCH 2, once you have all your 2nd NATCH points required.
