Hey, Chris!

Just throwing out a money making idea I had. Since we can't go to Champs, but many of us were planning on attending--  Would you be up for making like an honorary Champs 2020 shirt for us with our dogs name on it with a logo, etc?  We can still wear them when we compete and help you and your company and NADAC make money.

I'm sure we could come up with something!   We never ended up getting the final logo done, but I'll see what we can come up with :)

2020 - The year that wasn't, lol
I really like the slogan "The year that wasn't!"

There used to be a TV show called That Was the Year that Was.  So cute to use That Was the Year that Wasn't.

I like the idea of a couple of fun logos on a Champs 2020 t-shirt!

I like "The year that Wasn't"  Probably better than "The Suckiest Year Ever"  I also like "2020 Champs...NO Dropped Bars"  or "2020 Champs....NO Missed Contacts" or "2020 Champs...The Year EVERY Dog ran PERFECTLY"   ;)

I like the more positive ones!  Cheryl had some great ones!  The year that wasn't is not positive in my opinion.

So if a dog qualified for Champs, as well as qualified for starter stakes, all those carry over? I'm hoping Roxie will still be sound enough to run if I can swing going east next year as it'll be her last Champs since this year is out.
Thanks for making tough decisions, it's not easy.

Yup!   It's all pretty uncharted territory, so for the time being it seems like the best course of action.

I completely support the horribly difficult decision you were forced to make to cancel champs this year. And as much as I would love for champs to be in Gillette in 2021 (since I’m out west) I understand how difficult it would be with your rotating reservations in Ohio and Wyoming. And to say that if you were able to hold champs in Gillette in 2021 it would be the same issue, but just for the east coast people, is true, but it would sorta even things out. For east coast people who don’t travel nothing will changed, they get to attend champs every other year (theoretically...who knows what next year will bring). But for west coast people who don’t travel it will be 4 years between champs for them. And as someone with a double digit dog from 2018 to 2022 is a really really really long time. If it were possible to hold champs in Gillette in 2021 then for east coasters who don’t travel it would be 3 years between champs (2019-2022) and for west coasters who don’t travel it would also be 3 years between champs (2018-2021). You are right, no matter what, it sucks for everyone. And again, I support the tough decision you had to make and understand why it’s not feasible to hold champs in Gillette in 2021. And YES some 2020 Champs shirts would be awesome!
