Hello Friends,
It is with sorrow that we at ESAG Inc. must announce the cancellation of our August trial in Mammoth Lakes this year. We have been closely watching the situation here in the Eastern Sierra, and unfortunately, Mono County is now seeing a dramatic spike in positive cases following the July 4th holiday weekend. As a result, the Town of Mammoth Lakes (who owns the Whitmore facility) has determined that all gatherings and events through August should be cancelled.
While we’re disappointed, we fully support our local Health Departments’ policies to safeguard our communities. Our rural hospitals are tiny, with few beds and even fewer ICU beds and ventilators, and while we know our agility friends would be respectful of state and local regulations, we appreciate local governments’ conservative approach to avoid overwhelming the limited health services we have here for residents and visitors alike.
We hope you’re all staying healthy, and that you’re continuing to enjoy agility and other activities with your canine friends and teammates in any way you safely can. We hope we can all play together again soon!
