Gamblers 2021 - Grandfathering
« on: March 13, 2021, 08:29:48 PM »
In August 2019 it was estimated that grandfathering into Gamblers; based on a dog's Chances competitive level, would possibility continue for about a year.  With 2020 competition year almost non-existent in many areas is this being extended to the end of 2021?
   Thank, Karen

So the grandfathering of Gamblers is temporary. Is it a correct assumption to say that as long as you have a qualified run in Elite gamblers you can stay in Elite ? If you don’t get a opportunity to run gamblers because you can’t get to trials or they don’t offer gamblers in your area, you would need to start in Novice even if you have multiple Natch level scores in chances ? Any idea on how long the grandfathering will be offered? Thanks Donna and Gracie

Chris Nelson:  We'll keep it going for probably a year.  That should give everyone enough time to try it :)

With the BR HP combination coming next year, how will that impact All Around award? Will a team have to get Superior titles in Novice and Open to earn an All Around with the Gamblers points?

Yup that is definitely continuing a bit longer!

We're going to allow people to vote on it.  Personally I would like to see Gamblers added on to this, but that will be up to the competitors.
If you grandfathered into Elite then it would automatically take care of it on our end so you don't have to go back down to get your superior titles in the lower levels
