Groups are used to organize dogs when establishing the run order and for determining placements / displaying results. You may choose to put a dog in a group other than the obvious choice if there are not sufficient dogs of a certain size / division at an event.

Please note: The sort order is NOT the ID of the group; Group ID's are only for internal use within the programming and should not be altered by end users. Sort Order is used to determine the order in which group names are displayed in Drop-Down menus and which order groups will be displayed on the results. You may increment sort order at any interval you like (1's, 10's, 100's) ... it may be a good idea to use a larger increment so that additional groups can be "squeezed in" later without renumbering all groups in the sort order. The sort order value goes as high as 5 digits
